Anyway, that's me just letting off steam. Now, who has three thumbs and just made homemade salsa? THIS GUY! Although I can't help feeling like I forgot an ingredient...I went to the store on the way home from work so I had to get ingredients from memory. Then I didn't want to feel compelled to go back to the store in case I really did forget an ingredient, so I didn't look up a recipe either. And I couldn't find fresh cilantro so I used powdered, so I haven't eaten the salsa yet because I'm waiting for the flavors in the dry herbs and spices to "release". And all this because an American across town told me that they sold salsa at the store I went to, but I couldn't find it and already had salsa on my mind! At least I have my cheese and tortillas! I'll let you know how the salsa turns out.
In other news, some of you who have vicariously seen the inside of my apartment know that I have a small table with two chairs. Well, I did't like it because a) it's not very Japanese-style, and b) it makes my living room way too formal feeling. And c) it only has two chairs, which practically makes the statement "Only two people can hang out in this room" which means all the rest of my friends have to sit on my bed and I don't like that. So I bought a low table, Japanese style, and stuffed my other table in the closet. The low table isn't all that big, but since you sit on the floor to sit at it, as many people as possible can crowd around it and eat my homemade salsa. And two very lucky people can sit on the matching sitting cushions I got.
Now many of you are wondering which safety shoes I ended up getting. Well, after tallying the votes and recounting a couple of times (it was a close election!), I decided on pair number 3 because they didn't get the most votes OR the least votes. I've included a photo here to refresh your memory.
However, when I went to the store to pick them up, I realized that the giant tag hanging off to the right (shown vertical in this picture) says very clearly, in English, LADIES SHOES. Now, I'm normally not one to shy away from something fashionable even if it is labelled "LADIES," but they also didn't have my size any more so I didn't buy them. Did I opt for one of the other pairs? No! Because I have a hard time making decisions and figured I'd need to recount and possibly hold a new election for Shoe Mayor before making such a life-altering decision.
They also have some red shoes. Do I like red shoes? Someone please tell me what I like. I didn't take a picture because an old lady on the shoe aisle was scared of me.
Lastly, I know all of my friends are wondering if Kazuma turned out okay yesterday after his Terrible Tumble. Does this answer your question?
Hint: the answer is yes he's fine.
